Creating a New Garden

If you have moved into a new home with a garden that you can’t live with or have always wanted a complete change in your existing garden, we can come up with a design to create a brand new space which is both beautiful and functional. In many cases, this might mean removing a grass lawn, which no longer provides any aesthetic or practical function, and replacing it with vibrant beds of colourful, fragrant and pollinating perennials which bloom throughout the season, as well as suitable shrubs and small trees to provide structure.

Revamping an Existing Garden

If your garden is looking tired, messy and/or overgrown, we can work on transforming it into a beautiful and usable space.  Through a combination of using some existing plants, cutting back or removing ones that don’t work and installing new plants, we can get your garden looking gorgeous again.

Soil Remediation

Healthy soil means healthy plants. The success of any garden is dependent on soil which is rich in nutrients and is able to both retain moisture and allow for adequate drainage. This can be achieved with the addition of organic matter like compost, manure and natural fertilizers.

Regular Care & Maintenance

Gardens grow and change over time. If we’re being honest, we need to acknowledge that there is no such thing as a “maintenance-free” garden. While there are some that are low maintenance, any healthy garden needs regular care in the form of watering, weeding and pruning, as well as occasionally digging out and dividing plants which are getting too big. Regular maintenance also means keeping an eye on the health of plants and soil and taking remediative steps when necessary.

Custom Seasonal Containers

Containers provide a concentrated splash of colour in places where there is no soil. Balconies, porches and steps are all ideal places for containers spilling over with a riot of plants. There are many possibilities for creating stunning arrangements of various plants in spring, summer, fall and winter.

Fall Planting of Spring Bulbs

For a small investment of time and money, spring bulbs deliver stunning results year after year. Seeing the first snow drops, crocuses and daffodils  emerge from the ground in the spring is a wonderful reward for planting bulbs in the fall.

Garden Clean Ups

Sometimes life is just too busy! Good intentions like getting outside and dealing with the yard seem to go unrealized and, before you know it, the job of tidying it all up seems just too overwhelming. I am always happy to come in and get things looking good regardless of the time of year.
